Russian Navy Fleet Concludes Visit and Leaves Zhanjiang
Xinhua News Agency, Guangzhou, April 19 (Reporters Yang Xiaomin, Mi Siyuan) The Russian Navy fleet concluded a five-day friendly visit on the morning of the 19th and departed from a military port in Zhanjiang, Guangdong.
During the farewell ceremony, the Chinese military band played the "Farewell March," as the Russian Navy frigates "Perfect" and "Severe," along with the medium oil tanker "Pechenega," departed the port accompanied by the Chinese Navy ship Chenzhou and assisted by Chinese tugboats. Nearly a hundred officers and soldiers from the Southern Theater Command Navy lined up to bid farewell.
During the visit, the navies of both countries organized deck receptions, ship tours, sports competitions, and other activities, allowing personnel from both sides to interact closely and engage in in-depth exchanges on combat readiness training, daily life, and naval culture, further deepening friendship and enhancing mutual trust.
This visit marks the return of the Russian Navy vessels to Zhanjiang after the "Maritime Joint-2024" joint exercise held in July 2024.
