Xinhua News Agency, Damascus, April 16 (Reporter Lin Jianjie) According to a report from Syrian state television on the 16th, the Syrian transitional government's Ministry of Defense stated that after the withdrawal of U.S. and coalition forces led by the U.S., the Syrian transitional government forces have taken over the Kasrak military base in the northeastern province of Hasakah.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Syrian transitional government also issued a statement on the same day, welcoming the transfer of all U.S. military bases in Syria to the Syrian transitional government.

Previously, the Ministry of Defense of the Syrian transitional government had taken over the Shaddadi military base and the Rumailan military base in the northeastern province of Hasakah, as well as the Tanf military base in southern Syria.

In September 2014, the U.S. convened multiple countries to form an international coalition to combat the "Islamic State," conducting airstrikes against "Islamic State" targets in Syria and Iraq. In 2015, the U.S. began to station troops in Syria.
