The 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum will be held at the Beijing International Conference Center.

On the afternoon of August 27, the Ministry of Defense held a regular press conference, where Colonel Zhang Xiaogang, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, announced the news.

Zhang Xiaogang: From September 15 to 17, the 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum will be held at the Beijing International Conference Center. The theme of this forum is "Building Consensus for Stability and Promoting Security Governance," and it will feature four plenary sessions discussing topics such as international order and strategic stability, the dilemmas of regional conflicts and their solutions, security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region and associated risks and challenges, and the roles and visions of developing countries; as well as organizing eight parallel group meetings covering hot topics like major power relations and strategic stability, Asian approaches to security challenges, maritime passage security and maritime security governance, risks and controls of military applications of emerging technologies, and the direction of space security governance. During the forum, the 4th China-Africa Peace and Security Forum will also be held concurrently.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Beijing Xiangshan Forum, which has always adhered to the spirit of equality, openness, inclusiveness, and mutual learning. It has grown from a track-two defense think tank exchange activity into an important platform for official academic combined international security and defense dialogue, promoting global security governance and building a community with a shared future for mankind, fostering consensus, deepening mutual trust, and promoting cooperation. We sincerely invite defense departments and military leaders from various countries, representatives of international organizations, and renowned experts and scholars to attend and celebrate the 20th anniversary together, and to discuss strategies for security governance.
