Xinhua News Agency, Hohhot, June 6 (Du Juan, Wang Cheng) - The closing ceremony of the China-Mongolia "Prairie Partner-2026" Army joint training was held on June 6 at a joint training base in Inner Mongolia. Before the closing ceremony, both sides organized live-fire exercises.

At 9 a.m., the live-fire exercise commenced. The Chinese and Mongolian participating troops coordinated reconnaissance and fire strikes, sharing intelligence in real-time at the joint command post and adjusting deployments on the fly, commanding artillery, air defense, and assault forces to implement multi-dimensional strikes. Dozens of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles advanced through the dust, while engineering units cleared paths, and new equipment such as robotic wolves and drones collaborated with manned forces for cleanup operations. With the launch of four green signal flares, the exercise concluded successfully.

At noon, the closing ceremony began with the national anthems of both countries. Leaders of the observation group presented souvenirs to 60 outstanding soldiers, and commanders from both sides delivered speeches congratulating the successful completion of the joint training, reflecting on the traditional friendship between the two countries and expressing hopes for deepening future exchanges and cooperation.

During the joint training, Chinese and Mongolian soldiers conducted multiple rounds of simulated exercises and live drills. Chinese soldiers demonstrated tasks related to chemical reconnaissance and decontamination, manned and unmanned coordinated attacks, equipment repair, and battlefield rescue, while Mongolian soldiers observed and experienced the operation of drones, robotic wolves, and mechanical exoskeletons. Additionally, both sides organized military competitions such as tug-of-war and basketball, as well as multicultural exchange activities, deepening mutual trust and friendship through joint efforts.

It is reported that the Mongolian participating troops will withdraw completely by June 10.
