Xinhua News Agency, Kuwait City, September 16 - Sana'a reports: Hizam Asad, a member of the political bureau of the Houthi armed group, stated on social media on the 16th that the allegations regarding the Houthi armed group using drones to attack Mecca are "lies."

The spokesperson for the Saudi-led coalition, Turki al-Maliki, said earlier that day that the Saudi air defense forces intercepted and destroyed a drone from the Yemeni Houthi armed group heading towards Mecca on the evening of the 15th.
