Xinhua News Agency, Jerusalem, March 9 (Reporter Pang Xinyi, Feng Guorui) - Israeli Defense Forces spokesman Efi Defrin stated on the 9th that since launching military operations against Iran, the Israeli military has killed "approximately 1,900 Iranian soldiers and commanders."

At a press conference held that day, Defrin was asked whether Israel plans to target Iran's newly appointed Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, to which he responded: "Anyone who poses a threat will be targeted."

Defrin also confirmed that Iranian attacks on Israel have resulted in 12 deaths, and additionally, 2 soldiers were killed in combat in Lebanon. According to statistics from the Israeli Ministry of Health, since the military operations against Iran began, a total of 2,238 people have been hospitalized in Israel, with 91 still receiving treatment.

Defrin stated that the Israeli Air Force continued to strike targets in Tehran and Isfahan, and continued airstrikes against Hezbollah targets in Beirut, Lebanon. He indicated that Israel's airstrikes will continue "as long as necessary."
