On November 5, 2025, the Fujian aircraft carrier was officially commissioned at a military port in Sanya, Hainan, marking the People's Navy's entry into the three aircraft carrier era.

Shortly after commissioning, the Fujian aircraft carrier quickly conducted its first live military training at sea, with multiple types of carrier-based aircraft including the J-35, J-15T, J-15DT, and KJ-600 completing several rounds of catapult launches and landing training, effectively testing the Fujian's electromagnetic catapult, recovery, and deck operation capabilities, further validating the compatibility of the ship and aircraft.

Military observer Wei Dongxu introduced that this year, the Fujian aircraft carrier will undergo more sea trials. Currently, the power and propulsion systems have been comprehensively tested, and further inspections will be conducted on all subsystems of the platform. It can be said that the Fujian aircraft carrier has now reached an optimized state.

The next step is to enhance the performance and combat capabilities of the Fujian aircraft carrier to a better and optimal level.
