Since its commissioning,
the Tongchuan has successfully completed various training and exercise tasks.
With Children's Day approaching,
the crew of the Tongchuan traveled over two thousand kilometers
to their hometown, Zhaojin Beiliang Red Army Primary School in Tongchuan, Shaanxi,
bringing to the children
naval-themed lessons, coastal defense knowledge, and other
national defense education activities.
They also shared the news of the "hometown ship" just being commissioned
with the people of their hometown.
The Copper River ship (Hull Number 177), a Type 052D destroyer of the People's Liberation Army Navy, successfully completed various training exercises. On the occasion of Children's Day, the crew traveled over 2,000 kilometers to Tongchuan, Shaanxi, to engage in national defense education activities at a local school, sharing knowledge about naval operations with the children.
