The United States Announces $4 Billion Military Loan to Poland
Xinhua News Agency, Warsaw, June 12 (Reporter Wang Yihan) - U.S. Deputy Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Thomas DiNanno stated on the 12th that the United States will provide Poland with a $4 billion Foreign Military Financing loan for its procurement of U.S.-made military equipment.
According to the Polish Press Agency, DiNanno announced this loan arrangement during a ceremony for the reception of F-35 fighter jets at the Polish 31st Air Base. In an interview, he said that the total amount of Foreign Military Financing loans provided by the U.S. to Poland will increase to nearly $20 billion as a result.
Poland signed a contract to procure 32 U.S.-made F-35 fighter jets in 2020, with a total value of $4.6 billion, and the aircraft are scheduled to be delivered between 2024 and 2030.
