Twice Awarded First-Class Merit, This Battalion Commander is Truly Impressive!

Recently,

at the site of the Army's 75th Group Army's

"Strong Army Story Meeting,"

a colonel officer wearing

two first-class merit medals on his chest

stepped onto the stage,

instantly attracting everyone's attention.

He is Pu Chengbin.

In December 2003,

Pu Chengbin enlisted in the army.

During a shooting exercise in the recruit company,

he missed all five shots.

This setback

ignited his fighting spirit.

Whenever he had free time, he would pester the squad leader for extra training

and devoured all the books related to shooting

that the company had.

He repeated the aiming action hundreds and thousands of times,

his fingers calloused,

his arms sore from practice,

but he never slackened.

Hard work pays off;

in subsequent assessments,

he achieved a perfect score of hitting all ten shots,

successfully selected for the reconnaissance battalion.

After joining the battalion,

the company was filled with experts,

and the training intensity far exceeded expectations.

But Pu Chengbin did not back down;

instead, he began even more rigorous training,

practicing aiming with weights and increasing his sprinting distance.

He wore out several sand vests and sand leg weights.

With this fighting spirit,

he emerged from repeated trials,

growing into a

capable and skilled reconnaissance soldier.

In 2013,

Pu Chengbin, along with his teammates,

won 16 first places out of 21 individual events

at an international competition,

bringing the team championship trophy back to the motherland,

adding glory to the military flag with his youthful blood.

This honor

did not make him stop.

In 2016,

Pu Chengbin once again took on the mission,

competing on the international stage.

With the experience he had accumulated

and his solid military qualities,

he gave his all and fought bravely,

once again bringing glory to the country.

After 23 years of honing his skills,

his original intention has never changed.

As a grassroots leader,

Pu Chengbin leads by example in training,

earning the recognition of officers and soldiers with his solid skills.

He has been recognized as an outstanding Communist Party member of the Army,

one of the "Top Ten Southern Frontier Pioneers,"

and has received first-class merit twice,

second-class merit once, and third-class merit twice.

Under his leadership,

his battalion was recognized as an advanced unit of the "Four Iron" standard

and received collective third-class merit once.

these words expressed his original intention and commitment.

Rooted in the grassroots, training elite soldiers,
