On March 27 local time, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on March 26, the Ukrainian military struck the Kirishi Oil Refinery in Russia's Leningrad Oblast. The report stated that, upon verification, the strike accurately hit the core production facilities of the plant, with two major primary crude oil processing units and key supporting facilities such as petroleum asphalt production, hydrogen treatment, and gas fractionation all being struck and damaged, directly affecting the core production of the plant.
