Ukrainian capital Kyiv attacked, at least 1 dead
Xinhua News Agency, Kyiv, May 24 (Reporter Li Dongxu) - Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko posted on social media early on the morning of the 24th that the Russian military launched a large-scale missile and drone attack on the city of Kyiv, resulting in at least 1 death and 13 injuries.
Klitschko stated that an office area in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv was attacked, and rescue personnel are conducting rescue operations at multiple locations.
Xinhua reporters observed thick smoke rising from several areas in the Shevchenkivskyi district on the right bank of the Dnieper River in Kyiv, with many rescue vehicles arriving at the attacked area to carry out rescue efforts.
