U.S. Central Command: Blockade of Maritime Traffic to Iranian Ports Begins April 13
On April 12 local time, the U.S. Central Command issued a statement saying that, according to a presidential announcement, U.S. Central Command forces will implement a blockade on all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports starting at 10 a.m. Eastern Time on April 13.
The statement noted that this blockade will apply equally to vessels from all countries entering and exiting Iranian ports and their coastal areas, including all Iranian ports located in the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.
