The report stated that the Wall Street Journal mentioned that earlier on the 19th, the U.S. government announced the sale of over $16.5 billion worth of weapons to three Middle Eastern countries: the UAE, Kuwait, and Jordan.

The Wall Street Journal cited U.S. officials as saying that these transactions include the sale of approximately $5.6 billion worth of Patriot Advanced Capability-3 missiles and approximately $1.32 billion worth of CH-47 Chinook transport helicopters to the UAE, adding that these transactions were not disclosed to the public because they are extensions of previously agreed-upon arms deals.

Additionally, according to a Reuters report on March 19, the U.S. State Department stated in a statement on the 19th that it has approved the sale of Low Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) radar to Kuwait, estimated at $8 billion.
