The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated on July 30 that in response to the U.S. military attack, Iran struck a U.S. military base located in Jordan. The U.S. Central Command had previously stated that the U.S. military conducted a large-scale strike against Iran on the 29th.

On the 29th, the U.S. Central Command issued a statement saying that the U.S. military conducted a large-scale strike against Iran on the evening of the 29th Eastern Time, in response to Iran's attempted attack on U.S. forces stationed in the Middle East the previous day. The statement indicated that the U.S. military targeted dozens of Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps sites within Iran, including military command centers, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance and defense positions, as well as facilities related to maritime combat capabilities.

On the 30th, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated that in response to this crime by the U.S. military, the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps used several ballistic missiles to attack the U.S. military base located in Jordan, destroying three U.S. F-35 aircraft and severely damaging three other aircraft. This attack also resulted in the deaths of several officers, technicians, and maintenance personnel at the base.

On the 30th, Jordanian military sources reported that the Jordanian military intercepted five Iranian missiles aimed at Jordan.
