Zelensky says Ukraine has sent drones and experts to the US military base in Jordan
According to news from Ukraine on the 9th, Ukrainian President Zelensky stated that Ukraine has dispatched intercept drones and a team of experts to the U.S. military base in Jordan to assist in defending against drone threats.
He mentioned that the U.S. made a request for assistance to Kyiv on March 5, and the Ukrainian team subsequently set off for the Middle East on the 6th. Zelensky stated that in the initial days following U.S. and Israeli operations against Iran, he and his team received calls from leaders of Bahrain, the UAE, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, requesting relevant defensive assistance.
He also indicated that another group of Ukrainian experts will travel to Middle Eastern countries to help assess the defensive capabilities to counter the Iranian drone threat without relying on the expensive Patriot missile defense system interceptors.
