Zelensky: Ukraine and the U.S. Will Discuss Steps to End the Russia-Ukraine Conflict Tomorrow

Ukrainian President Zelensky stated on the 25th during a joint press conference with Norwegian Prime Minister Støre that in the upcoming negotiations with the U.S. delegation in Geneva, Switzerland, Ukraine will not only raise issues related to ending the Russia-Ukraine conflict but will also address topics related to economic cooperation with the United States.

He mentioned that the head of the Ukrainian negotiating delegation, Oleksandr Umerov, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, is currently on his way to Switzerland, and on the 26th, the Ukrainian and American delegations will hold a bilateral meeting to jointly draft an economic document. Meanwhile, a plan containing 20 items, security guarantees, and a comprehensive reconstruction proposal is being developed, in which the Ukrainian economic team will participate.

Zelensky stated that the sequence of steps to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict will be raised during the talks on the 26th. He also expressed uncertainty about whether clear results could be achieved on territorial issues on the 26th, noting that these matters should be discussed at the leadership level.

Earlier that day, Zelensky stated that the head of the Ukrainian negotiating delegation, Oleksandr Umerov, and Minister of Economy Oleksiy Sobolev will meet with U.S. negotiators Witkoff and Kushner in Geneva on the 26th. (CCTV reporter Wang Jinyan)
