On March 12 local time, the U.S. Central Command reported that a U.S. KC-135 aerial refueling aircraft crashed in western Iraq during a period of military strikes against Iran by the U.S. and its allies. The Central Command stated that the incident was not caused by enemy fire or friendly fire.
