According to Palestinian sources, on the 19th, the Israeli army conducted military operations in multiple locations in the West Bank and Jerusalem, arresting at least 31 Palestinians, including Ashraf Awad, the Minister of Jerusalem Affairs of the Palestinian National Authority.
Reports indicate that Israeli forces raided Awad's residence in the Silwan area, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City of Jerusalem, and arrested him. Awad had been banned from entering the West Bank by Israeli authorities since January of this year.
The Palestinian National Authority issued a statement saying that the arrest of Awad is the latest action by Israeli authorities in a series of restrictive measures against Palestinian officials in Jerusalem.
The Israeli military has not yet issued a statement regarding this matter.
