美国代表团与黎巴嫩军方讨论以军从试点区撤军
According to sources from the Lebanese military, a U.S. military delegation arrived in Lebanon on the 11th to begin discussions with the Lebanese military regarding the establishment of relevant mechanisms to implement the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from two areas within the so-called "security zone" delineated in southern Lebanon.
This Lebanese military source stated that the main objective of the talks between the U.S. delegation and the Lebanese military leadership is to initiate the first pilot area from which Israeli forces will withdraw, allowing the Lebanese military to be deployed in place. The first pilot area is set to be launched within a few days, and the remaining pilot areas are also in the planning and advancement stages.
According to previous reports, the Lebanese side has informed the U.S. that it will not participate in the upcoming new round of Lebanon-Israel negotiations to be held in Rome, Italy, until the Israeli side completes the agreed withdrawal.
On June 26, Israel, the United States, and Lebanon concluded a four-day new round of ceasefire withdrawal negotiations in Washington and announced the establishment of a trilateral framework agreement. The trilateral framework agreement includes a pilot plan for the Israeli military to withdraw from two areas located on either side of the Litani River in southern Lebanon. After the Israeli military's withdrawal, the Lebanese military will be deployed to these two areas with the accompaniment of U.S. forces. (Reporter: Yang Yuan, CCTV)
