On May 4 local time, Ukrainian President Zelensky revealed on social media that he held an important meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, discussing EU assistance to Ukraine and security cooperation in the field of drones.
Both sides agreed to accelerate the signing of the "Drone Agreement" between Ukraine and the EU and to discuss the specific details and implementation rules of related security cooperation.
Zelensky stated that Ukraine will improve the supporting infrastructure for security cooperation and has assigned relevant tasks to the Chief of General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, and the diplomatic team of the Presidential Office to implement the consensus reached in this meeting and promote the related cooperation.
