South Korean Strike Eagle derivative
mediumF-15K Slam Eagle is South Korea's F-15E-derived long-range strike fighter and a core Republic of Korea Air Force asset.
The F-15K Slam Eagle is a Republic of Korea Air Force derivative of the F-15E Strike Eagle. Boeing noted South Korea's selection of the F-15K in 2002, and the aircraft became one of Seoul's principal long-range strike platforms. Its role is not only air-to-air combat; the aircraft was acquired for deep strike, maritime and land-attack missions, and deterrence on the Korean Peninsula. The current upgrade pathway also shows that the F-15K remains a key platform rather than a legacy type near retirement.
