Active and Reserve Forces Mixed Training: Highlights of the Eastern Theater Air Force's Re-Training

Recently, a certain unit of the Eastern Theater Command Air Force, in conjunction with a reserve force, organized the return and retraining of aviation maintenance reserve personnel. Through an active-duty and reserve mixed training model, they efficiently conducted military training, comprehensively enhancing the task execution capabilities of the reserve personnel.

At a certain airport of the Eastern Theater Command Air Force, fighter jets were lined up in an orderly manner. Active-duty soldiers and reserve personnel carried out pre-flight maintenance preparations in an orderly fashion according to their groupings and divisions of labor. Minutes later, the fighter jets took off in succession.

Upon reaching the designated airspace, a system confrontation training exercise immediately commenced with intensity. Pilots from both the red and blue teams skillfully maneuvered their aircraft, engaging in tracking and locking, tactical maneuvers, beyond-visual-range confrontations, and close-range dogfights, with the offensive and defensive positions changing rapidly, effectively improving their technical and tactical levels through fierce exchanges.

Reservist Li Fan: Through the return and retraining, we have mastered the basic operational processes of our positions, our professional skills have been restored and maintained, and the feasibility of implementing maintenance support under the current mixed training model has been effectively validated.

During the training, the commander randomly set special situations, and the maintenance rescue duty personnel carried equipment to the parking area, quickly setting up boarding ladders and rescuing the pilots on board. The battle damage repair team swiftly conducted emergency operations such as battle damage assessment and fault location. In the repair room, the repair team members performed hole patching and riveting on the damaged skin, ensuring that the patch closely adhered to the damaged area, restoring the aircraft's good aerodynamic properties.

Officer Zhang Wen from a certain unit of the Eastern Theater Command Air Force: Through systematic theoretical learning, regular practical operations, and realistic special situation drills, we accelerated the enhancement of the reserve personnel's support capabilities, effectively ensuring that the backup support forces can quickly fill positions and rapidly form combat effectiveness during wartime.
