Xinhua News Agency Brussels, May 20 (Reporter Chen Binjie) Vilnius news: The Lithuanian Ministry of National Defense stated on social media on the 20th that a suspected drone from Belarus was detected near the country's border with Belarus, prompting air defense alerts in some areas of Lithuania.

According to reports from several foreign media outlets, the Lithuanian military sent messages to residents of the capital Vilnius in the morning, reminding them to "go to safe locations." The Lithuanian Parliament building sounded alarms, and the parliamentary broadcasting system stated that "due to the risk of airstrikes," all personnel in the building were required to immediately proceed to the nearest shelter. Flights at Vilnius International Airport were temporarily suspended.

As of the time of the reporter's release, Lithuania had lifted the air defense alert.

Estonia, another Baltic state, also experienced a drone intrusion incident on the 19th. According to Estonian media reports, NATO fighter jets shot down a Ukrainian drone that had entered Estonian airspace on the 19th.
