ARX, Roboneers hand over 30 UGVs to Ukraine forces

German ARX Robotics and its Ukrainian manufacturing partner Roboneers have delivered 30 unmanned ground vehicles to Ukraine’s Defense Forces, equipping a single regiment to run logistics, casualty evacuation and ammunition resupply missions with unmanned systems at the same time, the German company said.

The regiment is now operating the vehicles across multiple mission types simultaneously, moving beyond the single-task deployments ARX Robotics said were typical of earlier handovers.

“We have handed over 30 UGVs to Ukraine’s Defense Forces for deployment in logistics, evacuation, and ammunition resupply, putting additional unmanned capability into the hands of Ukrainian forces where it can make an immediate difference,” ARX Robotics said.

Roboneers, the Lviv-based company named in the post, builds the platform involved in this handover, the Rys Pro. The unmanned ground vehicle carries up to 300 kg (660 pounds) of cargo, has a range of up to 40 km (25 miles) that can be extended to 80 km (50 miles) with additional batteries, and can be fitted with the Shablya remote weapon station for assault support. Roboneers says its platforms have been combat-tested in more than 15,000 frontline missions since 2014.

ARX Robotics, the German company that posted the announcement, builds a separate unmanned ground vehicle line, the GEREON, distinct from the Rys Pro.

ARX Robotics and Roboneers formed a joint venture in June 2026 to scale UGV production in Ukraine, building on a supply relationship that began with GEREON deliveries in early 2025.

ARX Robotics describes itself as the largest supplier of Western UGVs to Ukraine. In May 2026, the company secured a contract to expand Ukraine’s GEREON fleet fivefold, adding several hundred more vehicles. That order followed an announcement by Ukraine’s defense minister, Mykhailo Fedorov, on April 18, 2026, that the country planned to procure 25,000 ground robots during the year as part of an effort to shift frontline logistics away from soldiers.

ARX Robotics said the 30-vehicle deployment would feed into the next phase of its partnership with Roboneers, without disclosing additional delivery figures or a timeline for further handovers.
