Bahrain and Kuwait Sound Air Defense Alarms
Xinhua News Agency, Riyadh, June 6 - Manama reports: The Bahrain Ministry of Interior issued a statement on the 6th, announcing that a nationwide air defense alert has been activated in Bahrain.
On the same day, the Bahrain Ministry of Interior stated on social media that the public should remain calm, proceed to the nearest safe location, and follow updates through official channels.
Moments earlier, alarms sounded nationwide in Kuwait. The Kuwaiti military issued a statement saying that the Kuwaiti air defense forces are responding to "enemy" missile and drone attacks. If explosions are heard, they are due to the Kuwaiti air defense system intercepting the attacks.
Earlier, the U.S. Central Command posted on social media that U.S. forces shot down four attack drones launched by Iran towards the Strait of Hormuz, and subsequently conducted airstrikes on coastal radar stations in Iran's Goluk region and Qeshm Island.
According to reports from the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, around 2:30 AM local time on the 6th, several explosions were heard in the Sirik area along the coast of the Strait of Hormuz. There is currently no official confirmation regarding the source of the explosions or further details.
