If the production rate of 120 units per year is maintained, approximately 480 additional units could be produced from 2026 to 2030 over four years. In simple terms, whether the J-20 can reach 1,000 units by 2030 does not depend on how many airframes Chengdu can produce, but rather on how many engines Shenyang can deliver.
