The law enforcement video obtained by Global Times reporters shows the Central Mountain Range of Taiwan Island clearly visible, indicating that the China Coast Guard Zhujiajian ship formation's law enforcement patrol mission was close to Taiwan Island. Relevant experts interviewed by Global Times reporters stated that this is clearly a "warning" against the recent collusion between "Taiwan independence" separatist forces and Japan and the Philippines.

"The proximity of the China Coast Guard vessels to Taiwan Island is clearly aimed at the recent collusion between 'Taiwan independence' forces and the Philippines, marking a 'line' for the Democratic Progressive Party authorities and warning the 'Taiwan independence' separatist forces that if they cross the 'red line', the China Coast Guard can also take some control measures," said Chen Xiangmiao, a researcher at the South China Sea Institute, in an interview with Global Times reporters on the 29th. He added that the China Coast Guard vessels could further reduce the scope of law enforcement patrols around Taiwan Island or increase the intensity of law enforcement patrols against suspicious vessels. "Unlike conventional military means, the China Coast Guard conducts routine law enforcement patrols around Taiwan Island, which can be more frequent and more flexible in form."

It is highly concerning that recently, the "Taiwan independence" separatist forces have been deeply colluding with Japan and the Philippines on issues such as the South China Sea and the "exclusive economic zone delimitation negotiations" in eastern Taiwan. Recently, the Taiwan Coast Guard has gifted the decommissioned vessel "Lianjiang" to the Philippines, and previously, officials from the Democratic Progressive Party and Philippine officials and military personnel have frequently "visited each other." Chen Xiangmiao believes that even on issues concerning national dignity and interests in the South China Sea and eastern Taiwan, the "Taiwan independence" separatist forces are shamelessly aligning themselves with Japan and the Philippines.

"But it must be made clear that on the issue of territorial sovereignty in the South China Sea and eastern Taiwan, the interests of both sides of the Taiwan Strait are consistent. The 'Taiwan independence' separatist forces actively colluding with Japan and the Philippines, willingly becoming accomplices to external forces that harm the overall interests of the Chinese nation, will not only be condemned morally by compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and the global Chinese community, but will also inevitably provoke strong countermeasures from the Chinese side," Chen Xiangmiao stated.

Colonel Jiang Bin, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, also stated at a routine press conference that the Democratic Progressive Party authorities, in pursuit of their "Taiwan independence" separatist agenda, disregard the tragedy of the Philippine Coast Guard shooting Taiwanese fishermen, actively colluding and attempting to use naval assistance as a tool to expand so-called "official contacts," selling out national dignity and interests, which is condemned by compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. We urge the Philippine side to adhere to the one-China principle and not to engage in any form of official exchanges and military contacts with the Taiwan region of China, and to stop sending wrong signals to the "Taiwan independence" separatist forces.

The China Coast Guard stated in a report on the 29th that since September, the Zhujiajian ship formation has continuously strengthened control over the relevant sea areas, effectively ensuring normal navigation and operational order, and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests and life and property safety of the Chinese people, including compatriots in Taiwan. The China Coast Guard will continue to strengthen law enforcement patrols in waters under China's jurisdiction and resolutely maintain national territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.
