Since September, the situation in Yemen has seen a significant escalation. As October begins, the Houthi armed forces are still engaged in ongoing battles on multiple fronts against the government forces and the Saudi Arabia that supports them.

According to reports from Yemen on October 1, fighting has intensified on multiple fronts in Taiz province in southwestern Yemen, with fierce clashes between the government forces and the Houthi armed forces in the southern region of the province. Reports indicate that both the government forces and the Houthi armed forces have suffered significant casualties.

Saudi airstrikes on multiple Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen

On the 1st, Saudi warplanes launched airstrikes on several positions in Taiz province controlled by the Houthi armed forces. The Houthis confirmed in a statement on the 1st that in the past 24 hours, Saudi warplanes had conducted 47 airstrikes and missile attacks in Taiz, Saada, and Al-Jawf provinces in Yemen.

Houthi attacks on Aden and southern Saudi cities

In the early hours of the 2nd, the Houthi armed forces used drones and missiles to attack a military facility of the coalition forces located in Aden, Yemen. A spokesperson for the coalition forces, Maliki, stated on the 2nd that they intercepted a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis towards the southern Saudi city of Khamis Mushait. Hours earlier, the coalition forces reported intercepting four drones from the Houthi armed forces.

Since September, the Houthi armed forces have intensified their offensive against the government forces, capturing several strategic locations along the Red Sea coast. Meanwhile, the conflict between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, which supports the Yemeni government forces, continues to escalate.
