Foreign media: Hamas-affiliated Qassam Brigade confirms one of its senior commanders was killed by Israel.
[Global Network Report, Reporter Suo Yanqi] According to a report from Al Jazeera on the 16th, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, an armed faction of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), issued a statement confirming that a senior commander of the organization was killed by Israel in a "cowardly assassination."
The statement said, "We mourn the commander of the Rafah Brigades, martyr Nayer Al-Taieh Muhammad Abu Obeid, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Tuesday (15th) evening."
The statement added that Obeid joined the Qassam Brigades in 1993 and "participated in many significant operations."
