Xinhua News Agency, Beirut, April 13 (Reporter Cao Changhao, Shen Feng) - Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem stated in a speech on the 13th at the Hezbollah-affiliated Lighthouse TV that the disarmament of Hezbollah will not happen.

Qassem indicated that Israel is attempting to weaken and destroy Lebanon's power to achieve its so-called "Greater Israel" goal. Israel and the United States claim to want to strengthen the Lebanese Armed Forces to disarm Hezbollah and to drive a wedge between the Lebanese military and its people, but this will not happen.

Qassem stated that Hezbollah rejects direct negotiations with Israel and will continue to resist Israeli aggression, saying, "We will hold our ground until our last breath."
