Houthi Forces Claim Strikes on Saudi Aramco Targets
The Houthi armed group stated on the evening of the 3rd local time that in response to Saudi airstrikes on Sanaa and other areas of Yemen, the Houthis launched multiple ballistic missiles and drones that day, targeting the Aramco facilities located in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
The statement claimed that the operation "successfully achieved its objectives," "hit the target and caused a fire."
The Saudi side has not yet released any information regarding this.
The Houthi statement also mentioned that in the past 24 hours, the Saudi side has conducted 60 airstrikes and missile attacks on Yemen, and since the escalation of the situation on September 3, Saudi Arabia has carried out a total of 1,410 airstrikes and missile attacks. The Houthis will continue to "respond to the blockade with a blockade" and "escalate in response to escalation" until Saudi Arabia stops its attacks and lifts restrictions on ports and airports in Houthi-controlled areas.
Recently, the Houthis have intensified their offensive against government forces and announced a maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia, which supports the Yemeni government. The Houthis have captured strategic locations such as the Yemeni port city of Mocha and the island of Perlin. On September 11, the Yemeni government stated that the Houthis have taken control of the entire western coast of the country and have advanced their offensive into the southern province of Lahij.
