Xinhua News Agency, Jerusalem, May 20 (Reporter Wang Zhuolun, Chen Junqing) - The Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Aviv Kochavi, stated on the 20th that the IDF is currently in a "highest level of alert" and is prepared for any developments, and will continue to carry out operations.

On the same day, the IDF issued a statement saying that Kochavi held a meeting with all division commanders to assess the combat readiness of the troops and the progress of multi-front operations.

Kochavi stated at the meeting that in recent years, the IDF has implemented "systematic, strong, and step-by-step strikes" against Iran and its allies, and that the IDF is currently strengthening forward defense deployments in various combat zones along the border, and will continue to conduct operations on multiple battlefields in the future.

Kochavi also mentioned that in order to accomplish various tasks and alleviate the pressure on reserve personnel, the IDF needs to expand the size of active-duty personnel, which is a "key issue" concerning the operational capability of the IDF.
