TASS cited military sources stating that the Russian Navy's Pacific Fleet press office noted, "The Indian frigate 'Sahyadri' has arrived at the main base of the Pacific Fleet in Vladivostok to participate in the traditional Russia-India 'Indra-2026' joint naval exercise."
The commander of the Pacific Fleet's surface ship brigade, Captain 1st Rank Alexey Ulyanenkov, emphasized the "long-standing friendly relations between Russian and Indian naval personnel," stating that "this relationship is deepening year by year."
The commander of the Indian frigate "Sahyadri," Captain 1st Rank Vikas Jeha, expressed that this exercise demonstrates the high-level development of the two countries' relations.
The Russian Pacific Fleet indicated that the joint naval exercise will begin on the 13th, divided into two phases: onshore planning and at-sea drills, with the exercise taking place in the Sea of Japan.
According to the Russian command, the Russian side will send the "Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov" light frigate to participate in the exercise.
