Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, February 19 (Reporter Shadati, Chen Xiao) According to a report from the Islamic Republic News Agency on the 19th, the joint naval exercise between the Iranian Navy and the Russian Navy has concluded, and the Russian warships have left the exercise area.

The report stated that the purpose of the Iran-Russia naval joint exercise is to strengthen bilateral cooperation, enhance maritime security, and improve the operational coordination capabilities of the two countries' navies. This maritime exercise aligns with the goals of developing maritime diplomacy, expanding military interaction, and exchanging combat experience. Officials from both sides emphasized their commitment to continue cooperation in the field of maritime security.

According to previous reports from Iranian media, the area for the joint military exercise between Iran and Russia is located in the Gulf of Oman and the northern Indian Ocean. The spokesperson for the joint military exercise, Hassan Maghsoudlu, stated that this exercise reflects the commitment of both countries to strengthen maritime cooperation, oppose unilateralism, and maintain the security of maritime trade in the region.

Against the backdrop of the United States increasing military threats against Iran, the Iranian armed forces conducted live-fire exercises in the Strait of Hormuz from the 16th to the 17th.
