Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, July 17 - The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran stated on the 17th that, in response to the U.S. military's attack the previous night, it has launched a fierce attack on the U.S. military's Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, destroying a set of long-range radar systems and several strategic refueling aircraft, with additional military aircraft severely damaged. The statement did not specify the exact timing of the counterattack.

The statement warned the United States that crossing red lines and attacking civilians and civilian infrastructure would incur extremely heavy and devastating costs.

Earlier that day, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated in another announcement that, in response to the U.S. military's attack on non-military targets in southern Iran the previous night, the Guard Corps launched ballistic missiles and drones in two phases, destroying several U.S. refueling aircraft and fighter jets deployed in Jordan.

According to Iranian media reports on the 16th, the U.S. military attacked infrastructure in southern Iran, including airports, bridges, and train stations, resulting in multiple casualties.
