Iran Claims to Strike US Military Targets in Bahrain and Kuwait
Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, July 21 - The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran announced on the 21st that it has launched missile and drone strikes against U.S. military targets located in Bahrain and Kuwait, "destroying" some U.S. radar facilities and "Patriot" air defense systems.
The statement said that the Aerospace Force of the Revolutionary Guard "completely destroyed" a U.S. radar system located in Muharraq, Bahrain, and that the U.S. "Patriot" air defense system in Rifa, Bahrain, was also subjected to simultaneous missile and drone attacks and was "destroyed."
In addition, the Revolutionary Guard used missiles and drones to "destroy" multiple U.S. radar and defense facilities located in Kuwait, including missile defense radar at Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Base, "Patriot" air defense systems, and targeted an MQ-9 drone hangar at Ali Al-Salem Air Base, "destroying or severely damaging" several drones.
