Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, June 3 - According to a report from the Islamic Republic News Agency on the 3rd, Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian recently reiterated support for Lebanon, stating that if Israel continues its aggression against the Lebanese capital, Beirut, the Iranian armed forces will resume hostilities and strike targets within Israel.

Amir-Abdollahian said that Iran has clearly informed the United States that if Israel launches military actions against Beirut, it will be regarded as a complete breakdown of the ceasefire, which Iran "will not tolerate," and the Iranian armed forces will respond.

He stated that in addition to conveying relevant information to the U.S., Iran has also informed regional partners that due to Israel's actions, war may break out again. He said that under the joint pressure of regional countries, the relevant military actions were ultimately prevented, avoiding further escalation of the situation.

Regarding the Iran-U.S. negotiation process, Amir-Abdollahian stated that communication with the U.S. has not been interrupted, but there has been no substantial progress. The conditions for returning to the negotiating table are to ensure Iran's national rights, end the conflict in Lebanon, and stop regional tensions. He said, "The U.S. has fully recognized Iran's capabilities and influence in the recent conflict."

Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly Speaker and head of the Iranian delegation for the Iran-U.S. negotiations, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, stated during a phone call with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri on the 1st that if Israel continues its military actions against Lebanon, Iran will not only halt the current negotiation process but will also "stand up to confront Israel."
