Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, May 4 - The Iranian Tasnim News Agency reported on the 4th, refuting the U.S. military's claims about sinking several Iranian small vessels.

The report stated that a senior Iranian armed forces official denied the U.S. military's related statements.

Earlier that day, U.S. Central Command Commander Cooper told the media that Iran launched multiple cruise missiles and drones at U.S. Navy vessels and commercial ships "protected" by the U.S. military. U.S. Apache attack helicopters and SH-60 Seahawk helicopters subsequently attacked these Iranian vessels.
