Iranian military claims it will significantly upgrade retaliatory actions

According to a report by Reference News Network on August 25, the Russian newspaper website reported on August 22 that Iranian military spokesman Mohammad Akraminia stated that after learning from recent conflicts, Iran's military theory is shifting from a defensive nature to an offensive nature.

He pointed out: “In the past, our country's military theory was defensive in nature, but we have witnessed a gradual shift from a defensive stance to an offensive stance.”

According to reports, Akraminia stated that this change does not mean taking preemptive action, but Iran “will respond to any act of aggression with a much larger scale of response immediately.”

Akraminia noted: “We are constantly working so that once the enemy attacks again, we can implement a more devastating retaliation than ever before.” He also mentioned that Tehran has successfully restored the military systems that were damaged by the United States and Israel in the early stages of the war and has deployed new weapons.

He emphasized that Iran “does not trust the enemy,” and therefore since the announcement of the ceasefire, it has been “racing against time” to smoothly reorganize the command system of the Iranian military to enhance its response speed to new threats. He also pointed out that the Strait of Hormuz has “decisive geopolitical significance” for Tehran to complete its diplomatic tasks.

Additionally, the Russian Military Observer website reported on August 22 that Mohsen Rezaei, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, made a tough statement against the United States. He pledged to firmly defend the nation and warned that American soldiers would not be allowed to step onto Iranian territory. Rezaei cautioned Washington against expanding its military presence in the Middle East and threatened to strike against the increase of U.S. troops.

According to reports, Rezaei emphasized the need to mobilize all resources to cope with economic pressures.

Rezaei called on Iranian youth to actively participate in “economic resistance.” This statement was made in the context of U.S. President Trump announcing an unprecedented “economic war” against Iran.

Rezaei pointed out that the U.S. has given up hope of achieving its goals through military means and has turned to economic blockade. He stated, “The world has understood that Trump's threats are just empty talk.”

He mentioned that Israel had assured the U.S. that the economic blockade would force Tehran to surrender within months, “but all their calculations have failed or will fail, and the sanctions policy will only make the Iranian nation and people more resolute.” (Translated by Li Ran)
