On August 31 local time, according to Iranian sources, the Iranian military stated that on that day, it used drones to strike the Minghad Air Base located in the United Arab Emirates.

On the evening of the 30th local time, the U.S. military targeted two rocket launchers on Iran's Larak Island near the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. military officials stated that personnel from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps were preparing to use these launchers to lay mines in the Strait of Hormuz. This operation marked the first military strike by the U.S. military against Iranian targets in a month.

The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps subsequently issued a statement saying that in response to the aggression of the U.S. and Israeli enemies against Iran's Larak Island, the aerospace forces of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched missiles and drones, destroying technical and maintenance infrastructure at two U.S. Air Force bases located in Jordan, and causing severe damage to enemy fighter jet positions. The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that the enemy's aggression and criminal actions cannot weaken Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz, and each attack will be met with an even fiercer retaliation from Iran.
