The Central Command of the Iranian Armed Forces, Khatam al-Anbiya, issued a statement on the evening of June 11 local time warning that: "If the United States attempts to attack Iran again, it will face a response that is harsher than ever before. Furthermore, the flames of war will spread, plunging the entire region into an unsafe quagmire."
The statement pointed out, "The contradictory actions of the United States are the main cause of instability in the region, especially in the Strait of Hormuz. Given the U.S. threats against Iran's oil infrastructure, Iran will either allow oil and gas exports to benefit all parties, or it will make it impossible for all oil and gas to be transported through the Strait of Hormuz."
