伊朗陆军总司令哈塔米1月7日在伊朗首都德黑兰发表讲话说，伊朗不会对敌人的威胁言辞升级置之不理。
哈塔米当天表示，伊朗发生的抗议在极短时间内演变为骚乱，这是“敌人策划的结果”。
哈塔米还表示，如今伊朗武装力量的战备状态相较去年6月伊以冲突前已大幅提升。“如果他们犯错，我们将予以更加果断的回应，并彻底消灭任何侵略者。”
