On April 8, Xinhua News Agency reported from Tehran that Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian stated on social media that the ceasefire terms between Iran and the U.S. are clear and explicit, and the U.S. must choose between the ceasefire and "continuing the war through Israel," as both cannot be achieved simultaneously.

Amir-Abdollahian said the world is witnessing the "massacre" by Israel in Lebanon, and it is watching whether the U.S. will fulfill its commitments.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Baghaei strongly condemned Israel's large-scale airstrikes on multiple locations in Lebanon on the same day, calling it a "shameful crime that is outrageous."

Baghaei stated that, as Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz said, ending military operations in Lebanon is an important component of the Iran-U.S. ceasefire, and Israel's airstrikes on Lebanon that day blatantly violated the ceasefire agreement. He emphasized that the U.S. government bears direct responsibility for this.
