Iran's Foreign Ministry Condemns U.S. Military for Repeated Violations of Ceasefire Agreement

On the 6th local time, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement strongly condemning the U.S. military's military attack on radar and coastal surveillance facilities in the Sirik region and Qeshm Island in southern Iran in the early hours of the day. The mission of these facilities is to protect Iran's border security and the safety of international maritime navigation. This attack is a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement and constitutes a military aggression against Iran's national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The statement indicated that this action is yet another example of the U.S. continuing hostile and provocative behavior towards Iran, demonstrating that the U.S. completely disregards the fundamental principles of international law and the United Nations Charter. Iran's powerful armed forces, within the framework of their inherent right to legitimate self-defense, responded to this act of aggression with appropriate and effective measures, thwarting the schemes of the aggressors.

The statement noted that the U.S. has repeatedly violated the ceasefire agreement, further proving that the country not only lacks the willingness to ease tensions and return to a stable trajectory but that its reckless actions also pose a serious threat to regional security. The U.S. government will bear full responsibility for all consequences of these illegal actions and any potential escalation of tensions.

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that under the United Nations Charter, Iran possesses an inherent right to legitimate self-defense and will do everything possible to defend its national sovereignty, security, and interests.
