Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, June 11 - The Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the 11th, strongly condemning the United States for launching a new round of military strikes against Iran, and accusing the U.S. of seriously violating the ceasefire arrangement reached on April 8.

The statement said that the military actions taken by the U.S. against Iran in the past few hours violate the United Nations Charter and render the ceasefire meaningless. Iran believes that all consequences arising from this should be borne by the U.S. government.

The statement also indicated that the U.S. continues to plan and implement military actions against Iran using the territory, facilities, and resources of certain regional countries, making those countries part of the conflict. Iran urges regional countries to fulfill their obligations and prevent their territories from being used for military actions against Iran. At the same time, Iran reaffirms its legitimate right to self-defense and reserves the right to strike at the sources of related attacks.

The statement further noted that the silence of the international community will exacerbate the instability of the regional and international situation, calling on United Nations member states to clearly oppose the relevant actions of the United States and Israel. The Iranian Foreign Ministry also urged the United Nations Security Council and its member states to fulfill their responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security, and called on UN Secretary-General Guterres to make a clear statement regarding the current situation.
