In the early hours of the 3rd local time, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran announced that on the evening of the 2nd, U.S. military shells struck an Iranian oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz, causing damage to its engine room.

In response to "this act of aggression and violation of the rules of the Strait of Hormuz," the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran launched a missile attack on the U.S.-Israeli vessel "Panaya."

The announcement stated that in a new round of aggression, U.S. forces attacked a communication tower of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps located south of Qeshm Island. In retaliation, the aerospace forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched missile and drone strikes against a U.S. airbase in a certain country in the region and the headquarters of the U.S. Fifth Fleet.

Iran had previously warned that in the event of aggression, it would take a completely different and more severe response. Iran reiterated that undermining the security of the Strait of Hormuz would come at a heavy cost to U.S. forces. (Reporter Li Jiannan from the Central Broadcasting Station)
