Israel releases footage of airstrikes on Iranian missile launcher

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Saturday released the first official footage showing Israeli Air Force strikes in Tehran and other locations across Iran as part of Operation Roaring Lion, confirming attacks on what it described as Iranian military infrastructure and missile launch systems.

The video, published through official military channels, shows precision strikes targeting underground facilities and ballistic missile launchers identified by Israel as operational threats.

The IDF said in a statement that, “As part of Operation Roaring Lion, the Air Force struck hundreds of military targets, including launch systems of the Iranian terrorist regime in western Iran.” The military added that the published footage shows strikes against underground missile bases and ballistic launch platforms, which Israeli planners consider central to Iran’s long-range strike capability.

Israeli authorities stated that the operation is being conducted simultaneously with active defensive measures inside Israel. The IDF said that while airstrikes were underway in Iran, Israel’s air defense systems continued intercepting threats launched toward Israeli territory. The military noted that defensive operations remain active as Iranian projectiles are detected and engaged.

According to the IDF, the targets selected during the strikes included missile launch infrastructure and facilities linked to Iran’s military network. The footage released by the Israeli military shows guided munitions impacting fortified sites, followed by secondary explosions consistent with stored military equipment or fuel sources. Israeli officials did not disclose the exact number of aircraft involved or the specific weapons employed in the strikes.

Operation Roaring Lion was announced earlier by Israeli authorities as a coordinated campaign targeting what Israel describes as existential threats posed by Iran’s missile and proxy networks.
