Israeli Army Claims Its Forces Are Approaching a Critical Point, Warns That Multi-Front Operations Are Difficult to Sustain

On the 10th local time, Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Herzi Halevi, stated during a briefing to the Israeli Parliament's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that after nearly three years of multi-front operations, the IDF has reached a critical manpower threshold and urgently needs to add thousands of soldiers to maintain combat capability.

Halevi noted that although the army remains in a high state of readiness and is able to continue operations on multiple fronts, the pressure on both regular and reserve forces has become unsustainable. He emphasized that the IDF must rapidly expand its forces.

Halevi stated that since October 7, 2023, the IDF has fully adjusted its combat approach, taking proactive offensive actions on all fronts and successfully eliminating direct attack threats to Israeli communities. However, he also pointed out that soldiers are facing significant casualties, combat injuries, and ongoing fatigue.
