On June 1 local time, the Israel Defense Forces stated that the IDF conducted an airstrike in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon, on May 31, killing a commander of the Hezbollah missile unit. The IDF claimed that this commander served as a unit commander within the Hezbollah missile forces and was involved in organizing and directing rocket and drone attacks against Israel.
